Shaun Mark Bean (born April 17, 1959), known professionally as Sean Bean is an English actor who portrayed as Boromir in The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

- Boromir's speech at the Council of Elrond was read from a sheet of paper sitting on Sean Bean's lap as it was only given to him the night before.
- Most of Sean's scenes in The Two Towers were cut from the theatrical version but were included in the Extended Edition.
