- —Mauhúr
Mauhúr was a large brutish Uruk-hai who lived in the underground caverns of Isengard during the time of the War of the Ring. He accompanied his leader Uglúk as they were making their way back to Isengard to deliver Merry and Pippin to their master Saruman. However, he soon found himself surrounded by Éomer Éadig's Rohirrim at the edge of Fangorn Forest, from which he led his Uruks in an attack. This attack was a failure, and Mauhúr himself was slain by the Rohirrim.
Behind the Scenes
- Mauhúr is portrayed as an Uruk-hai instead of an Orc in the books, and is played by Robbie Magasiva and voiced by Andy Serkis, who played the character Gollum.
- In the book, Mauhúr's own fate is not known with certainty, but it was presummed that he fell with his troops at the hands of the Rohirrim.
